THE COURSE
The rapid transformation of European societies linked to globalisation processes is a great challenge for social and health policies, and impacts on the distribution and quality of population health and its determinants. Since inequalities are increasingly widening, action can not be postponed, starting from education. The aim of the GlobHe-M course is to start filling in the educational gap which prevents scholars from developing knowledge and skills tailored to deal with the challenges posed by a globalised society, in particular concerning population health issues and inequalities. GlobHe-M course learning outcome for students is the capacity of thoroughly analysing the complexity of issues related to globalisation, health and migration, applying the approach of the social determinants of health.
HOW TO APPLY
Download and fill the application form; deadline for submissions will be May 13th 2012.
Knowledge of English is mandatory.
Candidates' selection will be based on academic credits, experience in the field of migration and/or global health (including research, work and volunteer activities) and on a letter of motivation. Academic field, geographical and gender balance criteria will also be considered in the final selection.
Selection results will be communicated by email approximately two weeks after the submission deadline.
